Clean Design

A Clean Look. A Carefully Designed Solar System.

Tesla solar panels offer an all-black appearance with concealed cell connections. Paired with Tesla Panel Mount where compatible, they sit close to the roof with concealed attachment hardware and a finished edge.

Tesla’s current panel design also uses 18 power zones to help reduce the effect of partial shading. That does not eliminate shade-related losses, which is why roof layout and placement still deserve careful attention.

The panels are designed to work with Tesla Solar Inverter and Powerwall 3. Your proposal will identify the exact panel model, wattage, panel count, inverter configuration, and mounting system selected for your home.

Your Home Comes First

Your Roof and Electric Bill Come First

What We Review

A good solar proposal starts with more than a panel count. We review your electricity usage, available roof space, sun exposure, and the condition of your roof before recommending a system.

Your Plans

Tell us about changes you are planning, too. An electric vehicle, a pool, or a change in how your home is occupied can affect the energy goals we should design around.

Your Roof

Your roof’s age, material, shape, and shading help determine whether rooftop solar is a good fit. If roof work is needed, we will discuss it before installation rather than treating it as an afterthought.

Design and Engineering

Our team coordinates the design and engineering, including the roof attachments, structural considerations, and local approval requirements for your project.

More Than Panels

Add Powerwall for Energy Storage and Outage Protection

Solar panels generate electricity. Powerwall stores energy for later use. Together, they can help you use more of your solar production at home and provide backup power when the system is configured for it.

Solar panels alone should not be treated as an outage-backup system. A standard grid-connected solar installation shuts down during a utility outage. A properly configured solar-and-Powerwall system can disconnect from the grid and supply the home’s backed-up circuits.

We will help you decide what you need to keep running, from refrigeration, lighting, and internet to larger loads such as air conditioning. The appropriate battery configuration depends on those loads, their starting requirements, and your desired backup duration. Runtime also depends on battery charge, energy use, and available solar production.

Tesla App

See Your Home’s Energy in the Tesla App

With a compatible Tesla energy system, the Tesla app brings solar production and energy information into one place. Depending on the installed equipment and metering, you can view home consumption, power flowing to or from the grid, and Powerwall’s charge level.

For systems with Powerwall, you can also manage settings such as the energy reserved for backup. We will walk you through the features available with your installation so you understand what the numbers mean.

In-House Installation

Tesla Technology, Installed by SunVena

Choosing equipment is only one part of choosing a solar company. You also need to know who will install it and who to contact with questions.

SunVena uses its own in-house solar installation team, not subcontracted installation crews. Our Sanford-based company serves homeowners throughout Florida, with experience across Greater Orlando, Tampa Bay, the Space Coast, and beyond.

Our role is to make the decisions understandable: what we recommend, why we recommend it, what is included, and what happens next. You should not have to become a solar expert to feel comfortable with your proposal.

Pricing

What Do Tesla Solar Panels Cost in Florida?

Your project price depends on the complete installation, not just the panels. System size, roof layout, mounting requirements, electrical work, and optional battery storage all affect the scope.

We will prepare a proposal that identifies the equipment and installation work included. If you are considering Powerwall or need roof replacement, ask us to show those costs separately so you can see how each decision changes the total.

You can also compare an outright purchase with available solar loan and lease options. Financing is subject to eligibility and provider terms. Look beyond the monthly payment to understand the total cost, ownership, and responsibilities under each agreement.

Our goal is to help you compare a complete system, not a headline price that leaves important work out.

Warranties

Understand Your Equipment and Installation Warranties

Tesla’s Panel Warranty

Tesla’s current TSP-series panel warranty provides 25-year limited product and performance coverage, subject to its terms. The performance warranty concerns the panels’ power-output capacity. It is not a promise of a specific electric bill or annual household savings.

Inverters, batteries, and other equipment have their own applicable coverage. They should not be assumed to share the panel warranty.

SunVena’s Solar Guarantee

SunVena offers a 25-year Solar Guarantee covering solar panels, inverters, installation labor, roof penetrations, and guaranteed system production under its written terms.

We will explain the SunVena protection that applies to your proposed system and how it differs from the manufacturer’s coverage. Your agreement and equipment warranty documents identify the applicable terms, exclusions, and responsibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tesla Solar Panel FAQs

How many Tesla solar panels will my home need?

We size your proposal around electricity use and expected production, not square footage alone. Your panel count depends on the selected panel wattage, usable roof area, shade, and the amount of consumption you want to offset. A recent electric bill is a useful starting point.

Do I need a new roof before installing Tesla solar panels?

Not necessarily. A suitable roof in good condition may be able to support a new panel system without replacement. If your roof is nearing the end of its useful life, planning roof work before solar can help avoid a separate panel-removal and reinstallation project later.

Will solar eliminate my electric bill?

Not necessarily. Your remaining bill depends on your system’s production, household consumption, and your utility’s rates and billing rules. Fixed or minimum charges may remain. We will review the assumptions behind your savings estimate rather than promise that every bill will be zero.

Are Tesla solar panels the same as Tesla Solar Roof?

No. Tesla solar panels mount above a suitable roof. Solar Roof used electricity-generating tiles as part of the roofing system itself. For information about the discontinued product and existing-owner resources, visit our Tesla Solar Roof information page.

Does the 30% homeowner federal solar tax credit still apply?

Not to a new homeowner-purchased system placed in service after December 31, 2025. The IRS states that the Residential Clean Energy Credit is unavailable for property placed in service after that date. A new proposal should not automatically deduct that former credit. Discuss your individual tax circumstances with a qualified tax professional.

Read the IRS guidance on the Residential Clean Energy Credit.
